Mallika Sherawat was born in Moth, a small village in Hisar district of Haryana to a Jat family. She went to Delhi Public School and obtained a degree in philosophy from Miranda House, Delhi University. She made her debut in Jeena Sirf Merre Liye where she was credited as Reema Lamba. She became the first Indian actress to star in a Jackie Chan movie in The Myth, which took her to Cannes and Toronto. Mallika has received an Honorary Citizenship of LA for her career achievements and charitable efforts. Mallika wore Rs 45 million worth diamonds at the Cannes Film Festival 2005.
